Answers on the AttorneyWebStudio offer for law firms: what is included, revisions, the AI Engine, SEO and AI answers, compliance pages, states, hosting and billing.
The offer
01What exactly does AttorneyWebStudio build for a law firm?
A fully managed website for your firm: practice area pages for every matter type you take, a page for each office, a profile for each attorney, an intake router that sends inquiries to the right office, and a blog of researched articles. We design it, build it, host it, update it every week and write for it. You approve; we do the work.
02Is this only for large firms?
No. Solo Practice is built for a single attorney or a small firm with one office. Multi-Attorney and Multi-Office are for firms that are adding people and locations and need the site to keep up. The structure is the same on every plan, so a firm that starts on Solo Practice does not rebuild when it grows.
03Do you give legal advice or act as a law firm?
No. AttorneyWebStudio is a website design and management studio. We are not a law firm, attorney or legal service provider. Nothing we write, and nothing the intake router says, is legal advice, and nothing on a site we build creates an attorney-client relationship. The practice of law is entirely yours.
04What is the intake router?
A short three-question flow on your site: matter type, location and urgency. It sends the inquiry to the right office or attorney, shows your consultation terms for that matter type, and files the inquiry in your intake CRM. It is labeled as not legal advice and it never qualifies a matter on the merits; it only routes.
05What is not included in the monthly fee?
Legal advice or a compliance sign-off, revisions beyond 5 a month ($20 each), AI usage on the AI Engine plans (billed at cost), a photographer on site, and the AI Engine or Content Engine on plans that do not carry them. Hosting, the domain, SSL, weekly updates and articles are all included.
Onboarding and the client portal
01What happens right after I sign up?
You fill in the onboarding form at our onboarding page: your offices, attorneys, matter types, consultation terms and routing rules. Anything you do not have yet, such as a headshot or a bar admission date, can follow later by email or as a ticket in your client portal; it does not hold up the build. Then we have one onboarding call, and the studio builds.
02What is the client portal, and when do I get one?
Every client gets a client portal the day the site goes live. From it you request revisions, raise a support ticket, send files and message the studio directly, all in one place instead of hunting for an email thread. You never need a login to the website itself, only to the portal.
Revisions and updates
01What counts as a revision, and what happens after five?
A revision is one change request of any size: a new attorney profile, a rewritten practice area page, or two new office sections with the copy and images already written, all in one request. There is no limit on how much goes into a single revision. 5 are included every month, requested from your client portal. After that each additional revision is a flat $20, with no hourly billing and no cap on how many you can request. Every revision is completed within 2 to 5 working days, and unused revisions do not roll over to the next month.
02What are the weekly detail updates?
Small factual changes we make every week without using a revision: an attorney who moved offices, new hours, a new bar admission, a new office phone number, a changed consultation fee. You send the detail, we publish it. Larger pieces of work, such as a new page, are revisions.
Articles
01What kind of articles do you write for a law firm?
Researched, plain-language articles of 2,500 to 3,200 words on the questions people search before they contact a firm in your practice areas: what a process involves, what to bring to a consultation, how a matter type typically moves. Every article cites its sources, carries a not-legal-advice note and is written for readers, never as advice to an individual.
02How many articles a week, and who approves them?
Solo Practice and Multi-Attorney carry 2 articles a week. Multi-Office carries 3 a week through the Content Engine. You can review every article before it is published, ask for changes, or set topics you want covered and topics you want avoided.
03Will the articles comply with attorney advertising rules?
We write them to avoid guarantees, outcome claims and comparisons, and we add the disclaimers you require. You remain responsible for compliance with the professional conduct and advertising rules in your jurisdictions, and we make any change your compliance review asks for as a weekly update.
The AI Engine
01What does the AI Engine do for a law firm?
It answers the phone, the site chat and your SMS, Messenger and Instagram messages when your team cannot. It describes the firm, the practice areas and the consultation terms, collects the inquiry and books it into the right office. It is configured never to give legal advice and to hand anything that resembles advice to a person.
02What is the AI usage charge on Multi-Attorney?
The $297 a month covers the site and the AI Engine itself. Usage, meaning the minutes of calls answered and the messages handled, is billed monthly at cost. We show you the running total, and a firm that receives few after-hours calls pays very little for it.
03Does the AI receptionist create an attorney-client relationship?
No. It is an intake assistant, not an attorney. It collects details and schedules a consultation. Its scripts state that it is not a lawyer and cannot give legal advice, you review those scripts before launch, and every conversation is logged to your intake CRM for a person to follow up.
Speed, search and AI answers
01How does a faster website help if we run Google Ads?
Google Ads counts landing page experience as one of the three components of Quality Score and describes faster mobile landing pages as one of the easiest ways to improve mobile ad results. A fast, relevant practice area page keeps more of the paid clicks long enough to start an inquiry and can help lower cost per click. We do not promise a specific cost or ranking.
02What SEO work is included?
Technical SEO (clean URLs, canonicals, sitemaps, robots rules, speed), on-page SEO (one subject per page, written titles and descriptions, question-shaped headings, internal links) and local SEO through office pages and service-area pages for the cities and counties each office serves. It is part of the build and kept current every week.
03Do you build location pages for our offices and cities?
Yes. Every office gets its own page with address, map, hours, attorneys and matter types, and we build service-area pages for the cities and counties you tell us each office covers. They live on your firm site, which is how a firm shows up for a matter type searched in a particular town.
04Can you get our firm mentioned by ChatGPT, Claude or Google AI Overviews?
Nobody can guarantee a mention by an AI assistant. What we do makes one more likely: an llms.txt file describing the firm and its key pages, the same names for the firm, offices and attorneys everywhere, answer-first pages with FAQ blocks, and plain facts with dates and sources that an assistant can quote.
05What structured data does the site carry?
JSON-LD on every page that matches what visitors see: Organization or LegalService for the firm, LocalBusiness for each office, Person for attorney profiles, Service for practice area pages, FAQPage where questions are answered and BreadcrumbList below the home page. Review markup is added only for real reviews the firm has permission to show.
Compliance pages and advertising rules
01Which compliance pages come with our website?
A privacy policy, terms of use, a cookie policy with consent that keeps analytics and marketing tags off until a visitor agrees, an accessibility statement, the attorney advertising disclaimers and labels your jurisdictions require, a no-attorney-client-relationship notice on every intake route, and SMS consent wording where the AI Engine texts prospects. They help you meet the rules; the firm reviews and approves them.
02Do you make sure our site follows our state bar advertising rules?
We write to avoid the things advertising rules are concerned with: guarantees, outcome claims, misleading comparisons. Most state rules build on the ABA Model Rules 7.1 to 7.3, and some add labels or filing. You tell us the rules that apply, we apply them, and we change any wording your compliance review asks for. The firm remains responsible for compliance; we are not a law firm.
03Is the website accessible?
It is built with WCAG 2.2 AA in mind: color contrast, keyboard use, visible focus, alt text, form labels and reduced motion. It ships with an accessibility statement that tells visitors how to report a problem. No site can promise to be free of every issue; anything a visitor reports comes to the studio like any other change.
Where we work
01Which states do you work with?
Every state. We work remotely with firms from Texas, Florida, California, New York and Illinois to the smallest markets, by video call and email. Attorneys admitted in more than one state have every admission shown on their profile, and each office page carries its own state and county details.
02Our firm spans several time zones. Does that matter?
No. The studio keeps Central business hours and books calls across Eastern, Central, Mountain, Pacific time. Each office page shows its own local hours, and routing rules can use an office's time of day, for example to send after-hours inquiries to the AI receptionist on Multi-Attorney and above.
Hosting and management
01Where is the site hosted, and what does hosting cost?
On Cloudflare's global network, served from the edge close to whoever is browsing, with SSL, CDN, DDoS protection and unmetered bandwidth. Hosting is included in the monthly fee, never an extra: no hosting bill, no SSL bill and no bandwidth overage, ever.
02What does fully managed mean in practice?
Nobody at your firm logs in to fix anything. We publish the weekly updates, complete the revisions, write the articles, keep the site fast and keep it live. If something changes at the firm, you email us; if something breaks, we already know.
Domains
01Do I keep my firm domain?
Yes. One domain is free for as long as your plan is active: if you already have one, we point it at the new site and it stays registered to you. If you do not, we register one in your firm name through Cloudflare Registrar or Spaceship, at no charge, and it is yours either way.
02Can each office keep its own domain?
It can redirect to its section of the firm site, which is what we recommend. Separate office domains split your search authority and confuse intake. We set the redirects so nothing that ranked is lost.
Moving from your current site
01What happens to the rankings my current site has?
We map every old URL to its new page and set 301 redirects before launch, so search engines carry the authority across. Pages that ranked keep their subject and their links. We check search console after launch and fix anything that did not carry.
02Can you merge several office sites into one?
Yes. That is one of the builds we do most. Each office becomes a location page with its own address, map, attorneys and hours, every old site redirects to its section of the new one, and the intake router sends inquiries to the office that should take them.
Billing and cancellation
01What do I actually pay, and when?
You pay the monthly fee for the plan you choose up front: $137, $297 plus AI usage, or $747 a month. The $797 one-time build fee is invoiced only after your site is live and you have approved it.
02Is there a contract, and can I cancel?
There is no fixed term. To cancel, email us at least 2 business days before your next invoice date, during business hours (9:00 to 17:00 Central, Monday to Friday, excluding US public holidays). A message sent outside those hours counts from the start of the next business day, so a weekend email does not give 2 business days' notice ahead of a Monday or Tuesday invoice. Cancel with proper notice and no further invoice is charged; cancel late and the next invoice is charged, with cancellation taking effect at the end of that month. Your domain and your content leave with you either way.
03Are your fees refundable?
All sales are final. We do not refund a monthly fee, the build fee, or a completed revision for change of mind or because a service already delivered went unused. The only refund we make is for a duplicate charge or an incorrect charge caused by our own billing, and only when it is reported within 30 days of the charge. See the full refund policy for exactly how that works.
