Service

A law firm website redesign protects what your current site has already earned by building a complete 301 redirect map before launch, auditing existing content to decide what to keep versus rebuild, and staging the new site so it goes live only after quality checks pass rather than during a gap with no site at all. Most redesigns that lose search visibility do so from avoidable mechanics: a slug that changed with no redirect, a page with backlinks that got deleted outright, or thin content rewritten from scratch that lost whatever made the original page useful. Every one of those is a known risk with a known fix.

Signs you need it

  1. 01The site is slow on phones or looks dated next to competitors.
  2. 02You are afraid to touch it because it still brings in some inquiries.
  3. 03Pages have been added for years with no structure.
  4. 04Old office or firm domains still exist separately.

How the work runs

A redesign starts with a crawl and a keep, rebuild or merge decision for every URL, then the build, then a redirect map that is live before the domain is pointed.

  1. 01

    Pay the first monthly invoice

The only payment before launch. It starts the build and covers your first month once the site is live.

  2. 02

    Onboarding form and one call

Offices, attorneys, matter types, consultation terms and routing rules. About 15 minutes of form, one call to confirm it.

  3. 03

    The studio designs and builds

Practice area pages, office pages, attorney profiles, the intake router, the CRM connection and redirects from your old site.

  4. 04

You review on a private link

Mark up anything you want changed. Nothing goes live until the firm approves it.

  5. 05

    Launch, then every week

Live on your domain in 7, 10 or 15 days depending on plan. Weekly updates and articles start the same week.

01

What actually causes a redesign to lose ground

It is rarely the new design itself. It is usually a URL that changed without a redirect pointing the old address to its replacement, a page that had earned backlinks getting deleted because nobody checked for that before removing it, or a page rewritten so heavily that whatever made the original version specific and useful gets replaced with generic copy. Each of these is preventable with the same fix: know what the current site has before touching it, and build a mapping between old and new before the new site goes live, not after.

02

The audit that happens before any design work

Before a single new page is designed, the existing site gets crawled and cataloged: which pages currently hold rankings, backlinks or steady traffic worth preserving, and which are thin, outdated or redundant and safe to rebuild from scratch. A fifteen-page personal injury firm site, for example, might have three matter pages worth preserving nearly as-is and twelve thinner pages worth consolidating into a cleaner practice-area and office structure. That decision gets made deliberately, page by page, rather than assumed. The audit produces a simple list, keep, rebuild or merge, for every URL the current site has, which becomes the reference the redirect map is then built from.

03

A complete redirect map, built before launch

Every existing indexed URL gets mapped to its closest equivalent on the new site, whether that is a direct one-to-one match or a consolidated page that now covers what two old pages used to. That map is a 301 redirect for every URL search engines and existing backlinks currently know about, in place before the new site goes live, not patched in reactively after someone notices a 404 in their analytics weeks later. That map covers redirects at the individual page level, not just a blanket rule pointing everything at the new homepage, since a generic catch-all redirect loses far more of a page's existing relevance than a specific one-to-one mapping does.

04

Minimizing downtime during the actual cutover

The new site is built and quality-checked on the studio's infrastructure first. DNS only gets pointed to the new site once that QA is complete, avoiding the common failure mode of a mid-redesign window where neither the old nor the new site is fully live. After cutover, the redirect map gets monitored for broken links so any missed mapping gets caught and fixed quickly rather than sitting as a dead link for months. That monitoring typically runs for the first several weeks after launch, since that window is when search engines and any remaining inbound links are most likely to surface a redirect that was missed in the original mapping.

Deliverables

How a redesign runs here: Crawl and content audit; Keep, rebuild or merge; Staged build and QA; 301 redirect map; Broken link monitoring. Tiber, the stag mascot, presents it.

Who it is for

  • Firms with a site that ranks for some searches but looks or works out of date.
  • Firms merging several office sites into one.
  • Firms leaving a page builder, an agency platform or an old CMS.

In their words

  • The audit found our legal intake details repeated across several pages, each worded slightly differently. Consolidation came with a checklist, so a change in one place is checked everywhere it matters. It is the least glamorous work they did, and possibly the most valuable.

  • The old legal intake address sits in hundreds of our sent messages; breaking it was not an option. Every legacy address was catalogued, mapped and tested before go-live. The relaunch felt safe rather than hopeful.

What it costs

The price is set by plan, not by page count or hours. Every plan carries the same design and build quality; what changes is what answers the phone and how much is published each week.

PlanMonthlyLive inBest for
Solo Practice$137 / month7 daysThe website, fully managed
Multi-Attorney
Multi-Office$747 / month15 daysEverything, plus the Content Engine

Plus a $797 one-time build fee, invoiced only after launch and approval. Engagements started on or before Thursday, December 31, 2026 have the $797 build fee waived, so that invoice is never raised. Extra revisions beyond 5 a month are $20 each.

The terms of engagement

Six commitments, stated as terms rather than slogans, with the conditions visible.

  1. Clause 01

The build fee comes after approval

The $797 build fee is invoiced only once the site is live and the firm has approved it. Engagements started on or before Thursday, December 31, 2026 have the $797 build fee waived, so that invoice is never raised.

  2. Clause 02

Nothing goes live until you say so

You review the whole site on a private link and mark up what you want changed. Changes at that stage do not use your monthly revisions.

  3. Clause 03

    90+ PageSpeed, kept

Every page we build and host scores 90+ on Google PageSpeed Insights for mobile and desktop. If a page drops below because of something we did, we fix it at no charge.

  4. Clause 04

Local search work continues until it lands

Local searches in your area start ranking within 3 to 5 months of launch, or the search work continues at no extra charge until they do.

  5. Clause 05

    No fixed term

There is no contract length. Cancel by email with at least 2 business days before your next invoice date, and no further invoice is charged.

  6. Clause 06

Your domain and content are yours

The domain is registered in the firm's name or stays in it. On cancellation you get an export of your content and articles within 14 days.

All sales are final: the one refund the studio makes is for a duplicate or incorrect charge caused by its own billing, reported within 30 days. The refund policy sets out how that works. Read the refund policy.

Questions about law firm website redesign

01Will we lose our current rankings?

No guarantee of rank is ever made, but the redirect map and content audit exist specifically to preserve the authority your current site has already earned, rather than starting over from zero.

02How long does a redesign take?

The build timeline matches your plan: 7 days for Solo Practice, 10 for Multi-Attorney, 15 for Multi-Office, once the audit and onboarding call are complete.

03What happens to our old content?

Each page is reviewed individually. Pages worth preserving are kept largely as-is, thinner or outdated pages are rebuilt into the new structure, and everything gets a redirect either way.

04Can we keep our current domain?

Yes. We either point your existing domain to the new site, or, if you prefer, register a new one under the plan, free for as long as the plan is active.

05Is there downtime during the switch?

The new site is built and checked on our infrastructure first, and DNS is only pointed to it once QA passes, which minimizes any gap between the old site and the new one.

06Do you keep the pages that already rank?

Yes. Pages with traffic or links keep their subject and are rebuilt or carried over, and their old addresses redirect to the new ones.

07Can you merge several office websites?

Yes. Each office becomes a page on one site, and every old office domain redirects to its section.

08What do you need from our old site?

Access to the domain and, ideally, search console. We crawl the public site ourselves.

09How do you check nothing broke after launch?

We check search console and the redirect map after cutover and fix any address that did not carry.
