Service

Custom law firm website development means every page is hand-coded for what it actually needs to do, rather than assembled from a drag-and-drop page builder loaded with a dozen plugins to cover gaps in what the builder does natively. That distinction shows up in three places a visitor and a search engine both notice: how fast the site loads, how reliably it keeps working as it ages, and how much of it a firm has to worry about maintaining. A hand-built site avoids all three problems by construction, since there is no plugin stack to update, break, or leave outdated.

Signs you need it

  1. 01Your site shows plugin or theme update warnings nobody acts on.
  2. 02Pages shift around as they load on a phone.
  3. 03A simple change breaks the layout somewhere else.
  4. 04Your form plugin cannot send inquiries to different offices.
01

What hand-built actually means here

A page-builder site typically loads a general-purpose editor, several third-party plugins for a contact form, a gallery, a calendar widget, and generates markup designed to be flexible for any kind of site rather than fast for this specific one. A hand-coded page is written for exactly what it needs: an attorney profile page ships the markup an attorney profile page needs, nothing more. That difference is invisible to a visitor scrolling the page, but it shows up directly in load time, since there is far less unused code being downloaded and executed just in case some other feature gets used.

02

Speed as a direct consequence, not a separate project

A firm rarely sets out to buy a slow website, it happens gradually as page-builder plugins accumulate, each adding its own script and stylesheet the browser has to load whether or not the page uses that feature. Every build here carries a 90+ PageSpeed guarantee measured at launch, on Cloudflare's CDN with unmetered bandwidth included, and that number holds because there is no plugin stack quietly adding weight over time the way there is on a page-builder site. That number is measured the same way for a two-page boutique site and a sixty-page multi-office site alike, because the hand-coded approach does not get slower as more pages and more content get added to it.

03

Maintenance the firm never has to think about

A plugin-based site generates a steady stream of "update available" and "security patch needed" notices, and someone has to act on them or the site becomes a target. A hand-coded site has no such stack for a firm to maintain, since the code is managed entirely by the studio as part of the plan, and a firm never logs into an admin dashboard to approve an update at all. Revisions happen through the client portal instead, handled by developers who wrote the original code, not a plugin marketplace. That also means there is no separate maintenance retainer to negotiate, since keeping the code current is simply part of what the monthly plan already includes.

04

How this plays out as a firm grows

Picture a nine-attorney firm that hand-built its attorney profile template once. Adding a tenth attorney is a content update inside that existing template, turned around as one of the plan's monthly revisions in 2 to 5 working days, not a new development project. A page-builder site facing the same request often means reconfiguring a plugin's settings and hoping the layout still holds, since page builders were not written with a specific firm's exact structure in mind the way a hand-coded template is. The firm ends up paying for a content update either way, but only one of those two paths turns a routine hire into a development ticket that needs its own timeline.

Who it is for

  • Firms burned by slow page-builder sites and plugin updates.
  • Firms that want speed and security without owning a CMS.
  • Firms whose intake routing does not fit a generic form plugin.

How the work runs

Development starts from your structure, not a theme: every page type is hand-coded once as a component, then filled with your offices, attorneys and matter types, and deployed as static files.

  1. 01

    Pay the first monthly invoice

The only payment before launch. It starts the build and covers your first month once the site is live.

  2. 02

    Onboarding form and one call

Offices, attorneys, matter types, consultation terms and routing rules. About 15 minutes of form, one call to confirm it.

  3. 03

    The studio designs and builds

Practice area pages, office pages, attorney profiles, the intake router, the CRM connection and redirects from your old site.

  4. 04

You review on a private link

Mark up anything you want changed. Nothing goes live until the firm approves it.

  5. 05

    Launch, then every week

Live on your domain in 7, 10 or 15 days depending on plan. Weekly updates and articles start the same week.

What it costs

In their words

  • The old legal intake form lost people at the error message; we knew because they told us. Labels stay put, errors explain themselves, and valid answers survive a failed attempt. Staff demonstrating the form to a customer no longer have to apologize for it.

  • Our deliberately awkward question was: what if the legal intake form breaks? They added a clear alternative contact route and verified that test messages reach the right inbox. That attention to the invisible parts of the site gave me confidence in the handover.

The terms of engagement

Six commitments, stated as terms rather than slogans, with the conditions visible.

  1. Clause 01

The build fee comes after approval

The $797 build fee is invoiced only once the site is live and the firm has approved it. Engagements started on or before Thursday, December 31, 2026 have the $797 build fee waived, so that invoice is never raised.

  2. Clause 02

Nothing goes live until you say so

You review the whole site on a private link and mark up what you want changed. Changes at that stage do not use your monthly revisions.

  3. Clause 03

    90+ PageSpeed, kept

Every page we build and host scores 90+ on Google PageSpeed Insights for mobile and desktop. If a page drops below because of something we did, we fix it at no charge.

  4. Clause 04

Local search work continues until it lands

Local searches in your area start ranking within 3 to 5 months of launch, or the search work continues at no extra charge until they do.

  5. Clause 05

    No fixed term

There is no contract length. Cancel by email with at least 2 business days before your next invoice date, and no further invoice is charged.

  6. Clause 06

Your domain and content are yours

The domain is registered in the firm's name or stays in it. On cancellation you get an export of your content and articles within 14 days.

All sales are final: the one refund the studio makes is for a duplicate or incorrect charge caused by its own billing, reported within 30 days. The refund policy sets out how that works. Read the refund policy.

Questions about custom law firm website development

01Do we get access to edit the code ourselves?

No. That is the point of a fully managed, hand-coded site: our team makes changes through your revision requests, so you are never responsible for touching code or an admin dashboard.

02Is this built on WordPress or a similar platform?

No. The site is hand-coded and custom-built for your firm, with no page-builder plugin stack to manage or update.

03How fast will our site actually load?

Every build is guaranteed to score 90 or higher on PageSpeed at launch, running on Cloudflare's global CDN.

04What if we want a feature a page builder would normally provide as a plugin?

It gets built directly into your site as custom code during the build or as a revision afterward, rather than installed as a separate plugin.

05Who owns the domain?

You do. It is registered in your firm's name through Cloudflare Registrar or Spaceship, or we point a domain you already own.

06What does custom-coded mean in practice?

Each page type is written in code for exactly what it needs to do, with no page builder or plugin stack underneath. The result is small, fast pages with nothing to patch.

07Is custom development more expensive?

Not here. It is the same plans and the same build fee as every other service on this site; hand-coding is simply how we build.

08How do integrations like our CRM work without plugins?

The intake router and forms send inquiries to your CRM by API, Zapier or Make. Clio Grow, Lawmatics, HubSpot, GoHighLevel and most others connect.

09Is a static site secure?

There is no database or admin login on the public site to attack, and it is served from Cloudflare with SSL. That removes the most common ways law firm sites are compromised.
