What it pays for
The build fee covers the one-time work of designing and hand-building the structure of the firm's site. The monthly plan covers running it.
- 01
It pays for the structure, once
The page per matter type, the page per office, the profile per attorney, the intake router and the redirects from your old site. That is designed and hand-built one time, so it is priced one time.
- 02
It is kept out of the monthly fee
The monthly plan pays for running the site: hosting, weekly detail updates, revisions and articles. Folding the build into it would mean paying for the build every month for as long as the firm stays.
- 03
It is normally invoiced after launch
The studio raises the build fee invoice once your site is live and the firm has approved it. Engagements started on or before Thursday, December 31, 2026 have it waived and never receive that invoice.
Pay it here
The build fee is $797 whichever plan the firm is on. Pressing a button opens a secure Stripe page for a single payment; your plan is recorded with it so the payment is matched to your engagement.

The sequence
Four steps, and nothing about your monthly plan changes along the way.
01Choose the plan you are on
Press the button for your plan below. The amount is the same on each; the plan is recorded with the payment so it is matched to your engagement.
02Pay on a secure Stripe page
Card details are entered on Stripe, never on this site, and the studio never sees the full card number.
03A receipt arrives by email
Stripe emails a receipt and an invoice for the payment as soon as it clears, and you come back to a confirmation page here.
04Nothing recurring is set up
This is a single payment. It does not start, change or add to the monthly plan, which is billed separately.

Questions about the build fee
01Is this a subscription?
No. The build fee is a single $797 payment with nothing recurring. Your monthly plan is a separate subscription and paying this fee does not change it.
02Do we need to pay this at all?
Only if the studio has told you a build fee is due, which normally happens once your site is live and approved. Plans started on or before Thursday, December 31, 2026 have the build fee waived, so if that is your firm, there is nothing to pay here. If you are unsure, email hello@attorneywebstudio.com before paying.
03Why is the amount the same on every plan?
Because every plan gets the same structure: a page per matter type, a page per office, a profile per attorney and the intake router. The plans differ in what runs after launch, such as the AI Engine and the Content Engine, and that difference is in the monthly price, not in the build fee.
04Is the payment safe?
Yes. Payment is taken by Stripe on its own secure checkout page. Card details never touch this website and the studio never sees your full card number. Stripe emails the receipt directly.
05Is the build fee refundable?
All sales are final. Because the build fee is charged after the firm has accepted the site, it is not refundable once paid. The one refund the studio makes is for a duplicate or incorrect charge caused by its own billing, reported within 30 days. The refund policy sets out exactly how that works.
The full terms are in the refund policy and the terms and conditions. Questions about an invoice go to hello@attorneywebstudio.com.
