Comparison
HighLevel's AI suite, which it groups under "AI Employee", includes AI Studio for generating websites and landing pages from prompts, plus Conversation AI and Voice AI for chat, messaging and calls. It is a toolkit your firm or agency configures. Our AI Engine is a done-for-you intake service on a hand-built firm site: the studio scripts it around your matter types and offices, you approve the scripts, and it is configured never to give legal advice.
What it is
HighLevel describes AI Employee as including Conversation AI, Voice AI, Reviews AI, Content AI, Ask AI and AI Studio. In its own words, AI Studio lets users "create websites, landing pages, forms, booking experiences, and interactive web projects" from prompts; Conversation AI handles "customer-facing conversations, qualification, FAQs, and booking"; Voice AI handles inbound, outbound and widget-based voice conversations.
AI Studio is switched on through HighLevel's Labs and publishes to a preview or custom domain. AI Employee is priced per location or pay-per-use on HighLevel's help center.
Generated pages versus a designed firm structure
Prompt-generated pages are quick. A law firm site, though, has to be precise: the exact matter types the firm takes, the offices and counties it covers, attorney admissions, consultation terms in the words the firm's rules allow. We design and write that structure with you, then keep it current weekly. Speed of generation matters less than accuracy that holds for years.
AI that answers for a law firm has a narrow job
An AI agent at a law firm must describe the firm, collect the inquiry, book the consultation into the right office and stop there. It must say it is not a lawyer and hand anything that sounds like advice to a person. Our AI Engine is scripted to that job and you approve the scripts before launch. HighLevel's agents can be configured this way too, by whoever sets them up.
Two ways to run the same idea
With HighLevel you or your agency build and tune the agents. With the AI Engine on Multi-Attorney and Multi-Office, the studio configures the receptionist, chat and SMS, Messenger and Instagram agents, files the A2P 10DLC registration and bills usage at cost.
Side by side
Twelve things a law firm should compare. Statements about GoHighLevel AI come from its own published pages, listed under sources, or describe it in general terms.
| What matters | GoHighLevel AI | AttorneyWebStudio |
|---|---|---|
| Speed and Core Web Vitals | AI Studio output depends on the generated page and its assets. | Hand-coded static pages served from Cloudflare's edge, 90+ PageSpeed on mobile and desktop, guaranteed and kept. |
| SEO control | Pages publish to a preview or custom domain; SEO depends on the generated structure and editing. | A page per matter type, per office and per attorney, with written titles, canonicals, sitemaps and redirects, done for you. |
| Schema and JSON-LD | Not documented as a built-in AI Studio feature in the articles we checked. | LegalService, LocalBusiness per office, Person, Service, FAQPage and BreadcrumbList, generated from the same data as the page. |
| AEO and GEO readiness | Depends on how the pages are written and edited after generation. | Answer-first pages with FAQ blocks, an llms.txt file and consistent names for the firm, offices and attorneys. |
| Hosting and security | Hosted in HighLevel. | Cloudflare hosting, SSL, monitoring and versioned deploys inside the fee. No plugins or CMS login to secure. |
| Maintenance burden | The firm or agency prompts, reviews and updates pages and agents. | None for the firm. Weekly detail updates plus revisions, handled by the studio. |
| Who does the work | The firm or agency, with AI tools. | A designer, a developer and a writer at the studio, with a person to email. The AI Engine is configured by the studio. |
| Content and blog | Content AI generates and refines text and images for you to use. | 2 researched, cited articles a week (3 on Multi-Office), never written as legal advice. |
| Design quality | Generated from prompts; refined by whoever edits. | A design system made for the firm and applied to every page, office and profile. |
| Accessibility and compliance pages | Added by whoever builds the pages; agent scripts set by whoever configures them. | Privacy policy, terms, cookie consent that gates scripts, an accessibility statement, WCAG 2.2 AA in mind, and the advertising disclaimers the firm specifies. AI scripts state they are not legal advice. |
| Cost model | Per-location plans or pay-per-use for AI Employee, on top of a HighLevel subscription; see HighLevel's help center. | From $297 a month on Multi-Attorney with the AI Engine, AI usage billed at cost. |
| Lock-in and ownership | Pages and agents live in the HighLevel account. | The domain stays in the firm's name; on cancellation the firm gets an export of its content and articles within 14 days. |
Be honest
Your firm or agency enjoys building and tuning AI agents and pages, and has time to supervise them.
You already pay for HighLevel and want AI features in the same account as your pipeline.
You need a quick campaign page and are comfortable editing what the AI generates.
And when we are
You want intake agents scripted for a law firm, approved by you, and maintained by someone else.
You want a hand-built site whose accuracy you do not have to police page by page.
You want A2P 10DLC registration filed for you and a running total of AI usage billed at cost.
Switching, or using both
Some firms keep HighLevel's AI tools for follow-up and use our site and AI Engine for first contact. Others keep HighLevel's agents and simply use our site.
- 01Decide which system answers first contact: our AI Engine or your HighLevel agents. One owner per channel avoids two bots answering the same message.
- 02Whichever answers, inquiries land in the same CRM, including HighLevel, tagged with matter type, office and urgency.
- 03Keep Reviews AI, workflows and follow-up sequences running in HighLevel if they already work for you; the site does not need to replace them.

In their words
Our after-hours calls used to go to voicemail and get returned the next afternoon. Now the phone is answered, the details are in our CRM with a summary, and the attorney who handles that matter type sees it first thing.

People looking for a defense lawyer are on their phone and they are not patient. The old site made them wait. This one opens straight away and the call button is right there on every page.

Most of our inquiries come in the evening, often by text. The chat and SMS agents take the details, never comment on the case, and book the consultation with the right attorney. Our team starts the day with a clean list.

Questions about GoHighLevel AI and AttorneyWebStudio
01What is GoHighLevel AI Studio?
HighLevel describes AI Studio as a prompt-driven tool to create websites, landing pages, forms, booking experiences and interactive web projects. It is part of the AI tools HighLevel groups under AI Employee, and is enabled through its Labs.
02Is your AI Engine the same as HighLevel's AI Employee?
They overlap in purpose: answering chats, messages and calls and booking appointments. The difference is who configures it. Our AI Engine is set up and scripted by the studio for law firm intake, and you approve the scripts.
03Can an AI agent give legal advice on our behalf?
It should not, and ours is configured not to. The agents say they are not lawyers, decline advice questions and hand the conversation to a person. Nothing an agent says creates an attorney-client relationship.
04Can we use HighLevel's Voice AI with your website?
Yes. If you prefer HighLevel's agents, keep them and choose a plan without the AI Engine. The site sends inquiries into HighLevel either way.
05Which plan includes your AI Engine?
Multi-Attorney and Multi-Office. It covers the AI receptionist, site chat and SMS, Messenger and Instagram agents, call summaries and A2P 10DLC registration, with usage billed at cost.
06Will AI-generated pages rank for our practice areas?
Generated or not, pages rank on their content, structure and usefulness. What matters is accuracy about your matter types, offices and attorneys, and keeping it current. We write and maintain those pages with you.
07Who is responsible for what the AI says?
The firm approves the scripts and remains responsible for its communications. We configure the agents to the approved scripts, log every conversation to your CRM and change wording as a weekly update.
08Do we need HighLevel to use AttorneyWebStudio?
No. We connect to the CRM you already use, whether that is HighLevel, Clio Grow, Lawmatics, HubSpot or another system.
