Comparison
Webflow is a professional visual design tool with hosting, SSL and strong SEO controls, including schema management, and it suits a firm that has, or hires, a skilled Webflow designer. A managed site suits a firm that wants the design, the writing and the weekly upkeep handled as one service, with routed intake and no tool to learn.
What it is
Webflow is a visual website builder aimed at designers. It is priced as site plans, which include hosting on a global CDN with SSL, plus workspace plans for teams. Its SEO features include schema markup management, meta titles and descriptions, an auto-generated XML sitemap and 301 redirect management.
Webflow has an app Marketplace and a network of Certified Partners who build on it. Code export is available on some workspace plans, though Webflow documents that CMS content and some features are not included in exported code.
A designer's tool needs a designer
Webflow gives fine control over layout and interaction, which is why agencies like it. A firm gets the most from it with a designer who knows it well. With a managed plan you get a designer, a developer and a writer who already own your site, without hiring or learning a tool.
Both can be fast and well structured
We respect what a good Webflow build can do on speed and schema. Our difference is the promise: 90+ PageSpeed guaranteed and kept, and structured data generated for every page from the same data as the visible content.
Writing is the part tools do not do
Most of a law firm site's value is in accurate, well-written pages: what each matter involves, who handles it, where, and on what consultation terms. Webflow leaves that to the firm or its agency. We write it and keep it current.
Side by side
Twelve things a law firm should compare. Statements about Webflow come from its own published pages, listed under sources, or describe it in general terms.
| What matters | Webflow | AttorneyWebStudio |
|---|---|---|
| Speed and Core Web Vitals | Can be fast; depends on the designer's build and assets. | Hand-coded static pages served from Cloudflare's edge, 90+ PageSpeed on mobile and desktop, guaranteed and kept. |
| SEO control | Meta titles and descriptions, XML sitemap and 301 redirect management. | A page per matter type, per office and per attorney, with written titles, canonicals, sitemaps and redirects, done for you. |
| Schema and JSON-LD | Schema markup management is listed among Webflow's SEO features. | LegalService, LocalBusiness per office, Person, Service, FAQPage and BreadcrumbList, generated from the same data as the page. |
| AEO and GEO readiness | Depends on how pages are written and structured. | Answer-first pages with FAQ blocks, an llms.txt file and consistent names for the firm, offices and attorneys. |
| Hosting and security | Site plans include hosting on a global CDN with auto-renewing SSL. | Cloudflare hosting, SSL, monitoring and versioned deploys inside the fee. No plugins or CMS login to secure. |
| Maintenance burden | Content and design updates by the firm, its designer or a partner. | None for the firm. Weekly detail updates plus revisions, handled by the studio. |
| Who does the work | A Webflow designer: in-house, freelance or a Certified Partner. | A designer, a developer and a writer at the studio, with a person to email. |
| Content and blog | A capable CMS for posts and collections; the writing is the firm's. | 2 researched, cited articles a week (3 on Multi-Office), never written as legal advice. |
| Design quality | Very high ceiling; as good as the designer. | A design system made for the firm and applied to every page, office and profile. |
| Accessibility and compliance pages | Depends on the designer and pages added. | Privacy policy, terms, cookie consent that gates scripts, an accessibility statement, WCAG 2.2 AA in mind, and the advertising disclaimers the firm specifies. |
| Cost model | Site plans plus workspace plans; see the official pricing page. Designer time is separate. | From $137 a month, plus a $797 build fee invoiced only after launch. No fixed term. |
| Lock-in and ownership | Code export on some plans; Webflow notes CMS content and some features are not included. | The domain stays in the firm's name; on cancellation the firm gets an export of its content and articles within 14 days. |
Be honest
You have a designer, in-house or on retainer, who knows Webflow well.
You want pixel-level control and to change designs often.
You need interactions or layouts beyond what a managed marketing site offers.
And when we are
You do not want to hire, brief and manage a designer.
You want writing, weekly updates and routed intake included in one fee.
You want a published speed guarantee rather than a best effort.
Switching, or using both
Webflow sites are often well built; a move usually happens because nobody is keeping them current.
- 01We inventory pages and CMS collections, and keep the design language you like where it serves the firm.
- 02We rebuild on the new structure, bring across posts and attorney data, and map 301 redirects.
- 03We launch on your domain, check search console, and your Webflow site plan can end.

In their words
Our after-hours calls used to go to voicemail and get returned the next afternoon. Now the phone is answered, the details are in our CRM with a summary, and the attorney who handles that matter type sees it first thing.

People looking for a defense lawyer are on their phone and they are not patient. The old site made them wait. This one opens straight away and the call button is right there on every page.

Most of our inquiries come in the evening, often by text. The chat and SMS agents take the details, never comment on the case, and book the consultation with the right attorney. Our team starts the day with a clean list.

Questions about Webflow and AttorneyWebStudio
01Is Webflow good for law firms?
Yes, in skilled hands. It has strong design control, hosting, SSL and SEO tools including schema management. The deciding question is who designs, writes and maintains it every week.
02Does Webflow support schema for attorneys and offices?
Webflow lists schema markup management among its SEO features, so a designer can add it. On our sites the schema is generated for every page automatically from the firm's data.
03Can we export our Webflow site?
Webflow offers code export on some workspace plans and documents that CMS content and some features are not included in exported code. We rebuild rather than import.
04Which is faster?
Both can be fast. We guarantee 90+ PageSpeed on every page we build and host and fix any drop we cause at no charge.
05Do we lose design quality leaving Webflow?
No. We design a system for the firm and apply it to every page, office and profile. If there is a look you like, we can carry its spirit into the new design.
06Who writes the pages on each?
On Webflow, the firm or its agency. On our plans the studio writes practice area pages and 2 articles a week, for your approval.
07Is a Webflow Certified Partner the same as a studio?
Partners are agencies and freelancers who build on Webflow. Some also maintain sites. Compare their ongoing terms, including updates and writing, with a managed plan.
08Can we keep editing pages ourselves?
On our plans changes go through the studio: weekly detail updates plus monthly revisions. If direct editing matters most to you, Webflow may suit you better.
