Before the build

Recto · The starting point

What the site did before

The dispute resolution practice handled legal intake through a single email-only page. Each message started a fresh guessing game about what the sender actually needed.

Verso · The problem

What that meant day to day

Day to day with legal intake, half of each response was spent assembling the basics. The actual answer waited on the sender replying to the follow-up.

What we built

The replacement form gathers practice area, county and safe callback time before anything is sent. Notifications arrive in a consistent layout, flag the type of inquiry and spell out that the next step is an intake callback, subject to the firm's conflict review.

What changed

For legal intake, replies now start from substance rather than from questions.

When a message about legal intake comes in, I can see straight away what the person needs. It is a simple fix, but we managed without it for years.

Questions about this file

01How long did the dispute resolution practice build take?

10 working days after content approval, including staff review and handover. The count starts when the firm approves the content, so the firm sets the start date.

02Which plan covers work like this?

Everything used here sits inside intake router and inquiries into your intake crm, which come with every plan, from $137 a month. The build fee is invoiced only after launch.

03Why is the firm not named?

Client firms are anonymized on purpose. The case study names the kind of practice, the region and the size, and the quote is attributed to the person who gave it, with their permission.

04Does the intake on a client site give legal advice?

No. The intake asks for the details the firm needs to reply and routes the inquiry. It is not legal advice, it never comments on the merits of a matter, and submitting an inquiry does not create an attorney-client relationship. We are not a law firm, attorney or legal service provider.
