Before the build

Recto · The starting point

What the site did before

An earlier project had delivered a site and then vanished. Every question about updating legal intake content depended on reaching someone who no longer worked on it.

Verso · The problem

What that meant day to day

With legal intake, approval routes, update procedures and test steps existed in no written form. When the usual contact was away, the site simply froze.

What we built

The handover includes a page inventory, update instructions, a contact list and a brief check of the route to an intake callback, subject to the firm's conflict review. It names an owner and a backup reviewer for attorney admissions and the firm's consultation process.

What changed

When it comes to legal intake, the site now comes with its own instructions for keeping it. Cover arrangements are a matter of reading a document, not interviewing former staff.

Launch-day me was grateful for the legal intake pages. Holiday-returning me was grateful for the documentation. The second gratitude lasts longer.

Questions about this file

01How long did the immigration advice and casework firm build take?

25 working days after content approval, including staff review and handover. The count starts when the firm approves the content, so the firm sets the start date.

02Which plan covers work like this?

Everything used here sits inside managed hosting and weekly detail updates, which come with every plan, from $137 a month. The build fee is invoiced only after launch.

03Why is the firm not named?

Client firms are anonymized on purpose. The case study names the kind of practice, the region and the size, and the quote is attributed to the person who gave it, with their permission.

04Does the intake on a client site give legal advice?

No. The intake asks for the details the firm needs to reply and routes the inquiry. It is not legal advice, it never comments on the merits of a matter, and submitting an inquiry does not create an attorney-client relationship. We are not a law firm, attorney or legal service provider.
